Plot Summary:
Two dogs, seeking a happier life and a grand ideal, leave their hometown behind to venture into the city. However, they quickly discover that the urban world is not as idyllic as they had envisioned. Faced with numerous setbacks and life’s harsh realities, which their simple and pure minds struggle to comprehend, Laifu and Wangcai embark on a series of adventures in search of a full meal.
Their journey includes street performances, participation in star talent shows, a brief stint in the entertainment industry, employment as security guards, and even being adopted and then abandoned by the wealthy. They endure the brutal treatment of the dog-catching team, leaving them battered and bruised.
Despite all these adversities, Laifu and Wangcai ultimately decide to face life with courage. They learn that no matter how difficult life may be, they must persevere and move forward with bravery.
