Experience a rich contemporary circus program and high-quality artistic experiences to celebrate the festive season with us! As one of the first contemporary circus festivals in Hong Kong, the ‘Tai Kwun Circus Season’ has gradually become one of the most anticipated events for Tai Kwun visitors every winter since its inception in 2018. Entering its seventh year, we continue the tradition and spirit of the past, inviting top artists from around the world to present large-scale puppet parades, acrobatics that challenge the limits of the body, and juggling performances. This year, works from Belgium, France, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and more will showcase the uniqueness of contemporary circus. The circus season also continues to build a progressive creative practice platform for local artists, allowing Hong Kong artists to boldly explore new paths and challenge new cross-media creations between contemporary circus and other mediums, redefining contemporary circus performances. The ‘Tai Kwun Circus Season’ will kick off in mid-December at the Tai Kwun Parade Ground. Program details will be announced in late October, so please continue to follow the latest information on the Tai Kwun website. Opening hours are from 12/14 to 01/01, with performance times and durations subject to the actual event.
