‘Tuesday to Sunday’ is the first large solo exhibition of Swiss artist Peter Fischli outside Europe. Fischli was once a member of the famous art duo Fischli/Weiss. He and David Weiss (1946 – 2012) engaged in artistic creation for more than thirty years. This exhibition will focus on the basic structure required for transmitting content, cleverly using the rules, signals, and systems indispensable in daily flows, presenting a multi-dimensional and open exploration of circulation – whether it’s the circulation of images, meanings, or commodities.
Opening hours: 11/2 – 3/3. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
The term ‘Echoes and Resonances’ is derived from the pursuit of level and oblique tones and phonology in Chinese language and culture. Whether it’s the five notes in musical scores or the four tones in speech, they all represent people’s perception of rhythm and their desire for expression and communication in the changing of seasons and the passage of time. Taking this idiom as the theme, the exhibition brings together works by artists from different regions such as Allora & Calzadilla, Oliver Beer, Natalie Bookchin, Christine Sun Kim, CHANG Yuchen, and YAO Qingmei. It attempts to use language, rhythm, and pulsation as clues to connect artworks that reflect the diversity and commonalities of global culture.
