The up-and-coming pianist Shi Zhan uses all his skills for a lyrical solo. Zhang Hailiang, the winner of the 2022 Young Musicians Recruitment, has been featured in Le Yi Society programs since 2018. He will share the magnificent imagination in selected music pieces with the audience with his profound and mature performance skills and style. Zhang Hailiang has performed all over Europe, America, Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau. He has won awards in the Asian Chopin International Piano Competition, Steinway International Youth Piano Competition, and Hilton Head International Piano Competition. He has also collaborated as a soloist with the Le Yi Soloists Orchestra, Macau Orchestra, Trondheim Orchestra of Norway, Hilton Head Orchestra of the United States, and Mata Youth Orchestra of the University of Mexico. After graduating from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Zhang Hailiang is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Juilliard School. The focus of the solo concert naturally falls on two virtuoso works, Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 8 in A minor and Rachmaninoff’s Variations on a Theme of Corelli. Coupled with the colorful works of Bach, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Schubert (arranged by Liszt), and Ravel, it is definitely an unmissable feast of black and white keys!

Opening time: Saturday, November 30. The performance time and duration are subject to the site.
