Gagosian Hong Kong Space will host the second part of the ‘Social Abstraction’ exhibition, which will run from September 10th to November 2nd. This exhibition delves into the experimental creative techniques employed by black artists from different generations. They utilize abstract art to explore cultural issues, perception, and humanity’s place in the universe.
The artists featured in ‘Social Abstraction’ create with a diverse range of media, including oil paints, acrylics, ceramics, mosaics, resin, hair gel, wigs, and textiles. They go beyond pure formal considerations to delve into themes of identity, community attributes, and life experiences.
The exhibition will be open from September 10th to November 2nd, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
