Established by Axel Vervoordt, the gallery now represents over 30 top international artists and artist estates. The gallery aims to connect the past and the present, the East and the West, with a particular focus on artists who explore concepts such as materiality, space, time, and nothingness, as well as the act of artistic creation. Through exhibition projects and art publications, the gallery aims to provide long-term support and promotion for the artists it represents, and to attract more artists who share the same philosophy for collaboration. In addition, the gallery’s parent company, Vervoordt, is also involved in antiques, design, and architecture, continuing the aesthetic philosophy of the company’s founder, Axel Vervoordt, for over fifty years.
