WKM Gallery is honored to present the first solo exhibition of Japanese artist Takashi Hiroki in Hong Kong, titled ‘Peaceable Kingdom’, which will be held from October 25, 2024, to December 14, 2024. As the founder of the legendary fashion brand UNDERCOVER, he has been involved in painting creation in addition to fashion work for many years, only publicly displaying his art in 2023. This exhibition offers visitors an in-depth look into Takashi’s dark and surreal world, which has been the source of his creativity for the past three decades.
The exhibition portrays the conflict between the chaos of the modern world and the artist’s deep longing for peace within, featuring a series of new works. Among them are three paintings that are being exhibited for the first time, which also serve as the central theme for his 2025 Spring/Summer Men’s Collection. This solo exhibition is the largest to date for Takashi Hiroki and his first major exhibition outside of Japan. Open from 10/25 to 12/14, with performance times and durations subject to the venue.
