Paul Cézanne (1839–1906) and Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841 – 1919) were two of the greatest French artistic masters at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. As representatives of the French Impressionist movement, these two artists were dedicated to depicting the ever-changing modern world with new visions and techniques, bringing a fresh perspective to the art scene of their time. In their pursuit of art, they not only established a profound friendship but also influenced a new generation of painters, such as the Spanish master Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973).
This exhibition showcases 52 treasured paintings from Musée de l’Orangerie and Musée d’Orsay, marking the first large-scale exhibition in Hong Kong themed around these two Impressionist masters. The exhibition is open from January 17th to May 7th, with performance times and durations subject to on-site information.【Hong Kong, China】The Jockey Club Presents: The World of Cézanne and Renoir – Treasures from Musée de l’Orangerie and Musée d’Orsay
