The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) presents the large-scale outdoor art project ‘Art@Victoria Harbour 2024’, which will be held on both sides of Victoria Harbour from March 25 to June 2. The second edition of Art@Victoria Harbour 2024 consists of five art projects. It includes the ‘teamLab: Ripples of Light’ and ‘Art Makes Sense’ exhibitions jointly curated by the Art Promotion Office of the LCSD and the Science Promotion Unit. These exhibitions showcase the art installations of the international art team teamLab, the Hong Kong art team LAAB Architects, and artist Kwok Tat-lun at Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade (Central Section). In Tsim Sha Tsui, art projects independently planned and funded by three partners, K11 Group, Sino Group, and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries Charitable Foundation, are respectively exhibited. The project of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries Charitable Foundation is funded by the Project Scheme of the ‘Cultural and Art Events Fund’ of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau. ‘Art@Victoria Harbour 2024’ hopes to bring a refreshing sensory experience to citizens and tourists on both sides of Victoria Harbour through outdoor art installations and large-screen digital images that combine art, science, and technology. In cooperation with Pace Gallery, the K11 Group brings artist Alicja Kwade’s sculpture ‘The Order of the World (Totem)’ to the promenade of K11 MUSEA. This work shows the artist’s strong interest in time, space, and science. It uses marble balls to symbolize planets and places them in a towering chair structure, making a distant contrast with the extremely huge planets in reality, thereby exploring the relationship between human existence and the vast universe. The K11 Group and Pace Gallery jointly support this year’s ‘Art@Victoria Harbour’ exhibition, adding an artistic atmosphere to the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and fully demonstrating the vitality of Victoria Harbour. Full opening hours from 03/23 to 11/30. The performance time and duration are subject to the site.
