Dream Tai Chi at Fantasy Valley, with ‘Tai Chi, Five Elements, and Bagua’ as its main visual elements and concepts, vividly portrays the interdependent yet harmonious relationship between humans and nature, among people, and within oneself. The performance is divided into five major chapters: ‘Spring’ – Life and Procreation, ‘Summer’ – Love and Fairy Tales, ‘Autumn’ – Harvest and Harmony, ‘Winter’ – Disaster and Arrival, and ‘New Spring’ – Renewal and Rebirth. It fully employs multimedia, film special effects, stage machinery, dance, acrobatics, magic, and other performance techniques to concretize the profound cultural symbols from the ancient Chinese philosophical classic ‘I Ching’ into distinctive stage themes and artistic images. In the open-air grand theater by the ‘Shambhala Lake’ with a capacity for over 3000 spectators, the live performance of ‘Dream Tai Chi’ dazzles with its splendid costumes, enchanting dances, powerful music, and magnificent colors. Coupled with imaginative stories and mysterious plots, it leaves the audience in awe and admiration. Shortly after the performance begins, a 35-meter-high volcano erupts dramatically against the pitch-black night, with scorching heatwaves and molten lava rushing towards the audience. Then, a giant dragon rises from the water, glowing with a faint green light. Next, two women playing the flute while standing on lotus flowers, perform the ancient Chinese charm. Jellyfish sway in ‘the water,’ and seahorses and small fish emerge, performing an ocean symphony. Graceful dances rise with the music. Tai Chi takes the stage, showcasing the ancient Chinese martial art. Accompanying the acrobats’ high-difficulty moves, the entire venue comes alive. The final song rings out, signaling the end of the performance. ‘Dream Tai Chi’ has been selected as one of the ‘Top Ten Internationally Influential Tourism Performances in China.’ Since its introduction in the Fantasy Valley scenic area, it has been beloved by audiences worldwide, with almost every show being sold out, making it a must-see for domestic and international tourists visiting Hengdian. The performance is open all year round from 20:00 to 20:30, with specific business hours subject to daily operations.
