【Performance】Scriptwriter: Liang Dingdong. Host: Zhang Minquan. Starring: Mao Mengda, Shen Ronghai. Shikumen is a cultural symbol of Shanghai. The changes of light and shadow in Shikumen record the changes of Shanghai citizens’ lives over more than 40 years of reform and opening up. It is a microcosm of the ever-changing city of Shanghai. The creative arrangement of the stand-up comedy ‘Laughter in Shikumen’ is a collective creation process.

Mao Mengda, the spokesperson of Shanghai coffee bars known as ‘Brother Ade’, and his proud old partner Shen Ronghai take the lead. All aspects of Shanghai people’s daily life, including clothing, food, housing, and transportation, are included in this show.
