The Guangzhou Spring Festival Fireworks Display is scheduled for February 10th this year (the first day of the Lunar New Year) from 8:00 PM to 8:45 PM at Baihetan, presenting a 45-minute international-level fireworks show. The show has four highlights: The first chapter: Spring Arriving in Yangcheng, an 8-minute drone performance, followed by a 3-minute and 50-second fireworks display, will kick off with a drone performance featuring 1000 drones forming a ‘giant dragon’ soaring into the sky, then transforming into images such as ‘Guangzhou Welcomes You’, kapok flowers, five goats, Guangzhou Tower, and lanterns. Next, a 3-minute and 50-second fireworks display, featuring the number ‘2024’, will officially open the event. The second chapter: Dynamic Bay Area, lasting 14 minutes, consists of three smaller sections: Blossoming in the New Era, Transforming with Vitality, and Leading a New Journey. Fireworks forming clusters of red cotton, the intertwining of Yunshan and Zhushui, and various ships setting sail symbolize the Bay Area’s courage to lead the trend, moving forward against the wind, and emitting a grand and heroic development voice of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The third chapter: New Guangzhou, lasting 15 minutes, features a variety of medium and high-altitude fireworks, with colorful swirling flowers shining on the Baihetan River surface, resembling an aerial ballet, implying that Guangzhou is full of vitality and energy, and with the iconic buildings of ‘One River and Three Banks’ presenting a dazzling night view, every viewer will be captivated. The grand finale: Stepping Forward, lasting 4 minutes and 10 seconds, features a golden dragon-shaped fireworks display amidst the music of ‘Ode to the Red Flag’, echoing the opening drone dragon performance, and the event will conclude with fireworks displaying ‘Guangzhou Will Be Better’. With this, the ‘2024 Guangzhou Baihetan Spring Festival Fireworks Display’ officially ends, and also heralds a new chapter for the Year of the Dragon in Yangcheng. The event site will be divided into: Liwan Viewing Area (01 Liwan Lingnan, 02 Liwan Shamian, 03 Liwan DuoBao, 04 Liwan QiaoZhong, 05 Liwan ShiWeitang, 06 Liwan HuaDi, 07 Liwan ChongKou), Haizhu Viewing Area (08 Haizhu BinJiangXi, 09 Haizhu BinJiangXi, 10 Haizhu BinJiangXi, 11 Haizhu ZhouTouZui, 12 Haizhu ZhouTouZui, 13 Haizhu ZhouTouZui, 14 Haizhu ZhouTouZui, 15 Haizhu HuanDaoLu, 16 Haizhu HuanDaoLu, 17 Haizhu HuanDaoLu), Yuexiu Viewing Area (18 Yuexiu YanJiang, 19 Yuexiu YanJiang, 20 Yuexiu YanJiang).
