Daijiaxiang Old Street has a history of over a hundred years. It has witnessed the historical changes of Chongqing and is of extremely high value for the humanistic characteristics and historical memories of old Chongqing. In the Qing Dynasty, the main city was divided into 29 wards. Daijiaxiang was assigned to Linjiang Ward. In the early years, the poor built shacks along the city wall to live and engaged in occupations such as carrying water, being a wet nurse, being a servant, and being an attendant.

During the period of the Republic of China, churches, hospitals, and schools were everywhere. There were clergy everywhere. After living there for a long time, people became familiar with the place.
