China Air Defense Expo is located in the Zhenhai District of Ningbo City, at the Zhaobaoshan area, and is a comprehensive theme park that focuses on national defense education, integrating exhibition, academia, research, cultural exchange, and red tourism. The Expo mainly consists of three parts: the序厅, the Civil Air Defense Tunnel Exhibition, and the Military Experience Area. It recreates war scenes through sculptures and murals, and uses sound, light, and electric multimedia technology to create an authentic 4D spatial experience.
The Expo features a display of eight fighter aircraft, including the MiG-15, J-7, and H-5, as well as various caliber anti-aircraft guns ranging from 37mm to 100mm, along with aviation missiles, submarines, tanks, and other military equipment. It also includes simulation games for various forms of warfare, with 28 specially designed roles for visitors to play. Experience the thrill of ‘driving’ ships through the waves, ‘driving’ armored vehicles into battle, and ‘pilot’ fighter jets through the skies. Classic air defense battles such as those in London during World War I, Pearl Harbor, Vietnam, and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo War will be presented one by one. The 360-degree panoramic theater in the序厅 of the Air Defense Expo allows visitors to watch an 8 to 10-minute panoramic film, learning about the history of air defense over the past century, especially the development of aviation vehicles (mainly military aircraft), missile weapons, and precision guidance technology. Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and closed all day on Mondays. For preferential policies: 1. Children under 1.2 meters in height enter for free; seniors over 70 years old with a senior citizen card enter for free; military officers with valid identification enter for free; teachers with over 30 years of teaching experience, national tour guide certificate holders, and journalists enter for free. 2.
