Standing halfway up the mountain and looking into the distance, the entire Wanshan Archipelago appears like a handful of pearls scattered over the Lingding Sea. Upon reaching the summit at an elevation of 311.8 meters, the view transforms, revealing the majority of the Lingding Sea’s islands, spread out like a chessboard with pieces, presenting a spectacular sight, known as the ‘Wanshan Chessboard’.
