With the support of the Municipal Transportation Group, the Municipal Ferry Company has launched a new cruise ship, offering a brand-new environment and a 1.5-hour voyage that allows tourists to fully appreciate the unique charm of the Shantou Inner Bay. The newly commissioned cruise ship, named ‘Qi Mian Hao’, was built by the Shantou Shipyard, measuring 32 meters in length, 9 meters in width, and 2.
6 meters in depth, with a passenger capacity of 146 and a crew of 6.The cruise ship features a stylish overall design with a sleek and simple shape, spanning three levels. The passenger cabins are equipped with comfortable soft seats, audio-visual equipment, and KTV entertainment facilities, and offer a variety of beverages, Gongfu tea, and snacks to meet the diverse leisure needs of tourists.
The ‘Qi Mian Hao’ mainly operates between the Queshi Bridge and the Gulf Bridge, passing by more than 10 scenic spots including the Municipal People’s Square, Customs Clock Tower, Xidi Park, Queshi Scenic Area, Municipal Sports Industry Base, Chaozhou Cultural Center, and Ma Yu Island, with the entire journey lasting approximately 1. 5 hours.
During recent trial voyages, many citizens and tourists have come aboard to experience the ‘new’ ship, enjoying tea and conversation while sightseeing and taking photos, all accompanied by the gentle sea breeze and the shimmering stars, fully appreciating the beautiful scenery on both sides of the bay. The cruise is open to the public year-round from 20:30 to 22:00.
