Xu’s Ancestral Hall is located 19 meters south of Xia’s Alley on Zhijie Street in Longhu Ancient Village. It faces east and was first built in the 16th year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty by the third ancestor of the Xu family. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it was expanded and renovated under the leadership of the 11th ancestor. It covers an area of 1,127 square meters. The ancestral hall is divided into four sections. The first section is the gate tower connected to the lobby. The second section is the ‘gate imitating the imperial college’. The third section is the ‘Mingxu Hall’. The fourth section is the ‘Zhuocun Hall’. The layout is square and symmetrical, magnificent, and adorned with carved beams and painted pillars.
