Biaojiao Lighthouse, also known as Guangao Lighthouse, is located at Guangao Cape on the Dajiao Peninsula in Shantou Port, eastern Guangdong. It serves as an essential lighthouse along the coastal route of eastern Guangdong and a crucial navigational aid for ships entering and exiting the outer channel of Shantou Port.
The lighthouse was originally constructed in the sixth year of the Guangxu Emperor’s reign during the Qing Dynasty, featuring a white, circular, cast-iron structure that stands approximately 6.7 meters tall.
