The China Lychee Expo Museum is located in Genzi Town, Gaocheng City, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. It is the core project of the Maoming Lychee National Modern Agricultural Industry Park and an important part of the National Lychee Germplasm Resource Garden. The museum, themed around the Lychee, a fine fruit of Lingnan, is built to integrate lychee, culture, technology, art, education, and tourism. It is the national-level lychee exhibition museum across the country.
The museum is divided into functional areas such as variety display and cultural promotion. The variety display area includes a comprehensive hall, Guangdong Hall, Guangxi Hall, Fujian Hall, Sichuan Hall, and Yunnan Hall, which undertake the protection of ancient lychee trees, management of famous person’s cultivated plants, and global germplasm resource display. The cultural promotion area is responsible for lychee cultural propaganda, youth science education, leisure and entertainment, and sales of lychee and various fruit processing products, as well as cultural and creative products.
