Bailong Pearl City is located in Bailong Village, Yingpan Town, 36 kilometers southeast of Beihai City. Legend has it that in ancient times, there was a white dragon hovering here, hence the name White Dragon City. As White Dragon City is close to the sea, it is rich in high-quality and beautiful pearls. The ancient city is square-shaped, 320 meters long from north to south and 233 meters wide from east to south, with a perimeter of 1107 meters.

The wall is 6 meters high and the city foundation is 6 meters wide. The strip stones are used as the foundation and fire bricks are used as the wall. The center is made of rammed loess mixed with pearl shells. It covers an area of more than 70,000 square meters. There are three city gates in the east, south, and west. There are towers on the gates, which can be used to observe the whole city and the sea.

Inside the city, there are the Pearl Picking Mansion, the Pearl Field Department, the Salt Field Department, and the Ninghai Temple. Fire bricks are laid inside and outside the city wall. Every 10 centimeters in the center is a layer of loess sandwiched with a layer of pearl shells, which are rammed layer by layer. Therefore, it is named Pearl City. The ancient Pearl City was still well preserved before the Anti-Japanese War.

During the Anti-Japanese War, most of the city walls and gates were demolished. After liberation, only one city wall and a south city gate remained. In 1958, they were also completely destroyed. There are only a few inscriptions left in the stele pavilion. There is a section of 2.6-meter-high wall in the south city wall. The site of Pearl City has been listed as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in Guangxi.

Now there are landscapes such as pearl picking ponds, pearl pavilions, the mansion of pearl picking eunuchs, and Ninghai Temple in the city. The specific opening hours and business status are subject to the opening situation on the day.
