The Tangxi Reservoir, also known as Raoping North Lake, is located in the middle reaches of the Huanggang River. It is 38 kilometers away from Huanggang County. It was constructed from November 1958 to December 1959. The northeast of the lake area is adjacent to Zhujing. The south is bounded by Huaqiao Hot Spring. The west is close to Taoyuan Cave. The north reaches Sanrao Tashan. It covers an area of about 40 to 50 square kilometers. Among them, the water area is 200,000 square meters, and the water storage capacity is more than 280 million cubic meters. It is a large-scale artificial lake in the Chaoshan area. Surrounded by mountains, the peaks are verdant. The lake surface is sparkling. The original 72 peaks are now all islands and have become a famous tourist destination. Tip: There are cruise ships available for rent at the dock near the dam of Tangxi Reservoir to tour the reservoir. Opening hours: Open from 8:00 to 18:00 all year round.
