Dabu County Museum is a comprehensive county-level museum, primarily engaged in the collection, preservation, exhibition, and scientific research of cultural relics. Established in September 1979, the new museum is located at Huangtengkeng, Shanzixia, Hulu Town, Dapu County. It was constructed in December 2007, covering an area of 2400 square meters, with a construction area of 5800 square meters, an exhibition area of 2800 square meters, and a storage area of 260 square meters. The three-story building features a typical Hakka tulou and weilongwu architectural style combination. The museum currently houses over 5000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics and exhibits, including 31 pieces (sets) of second-level relics and 213 pieces (sets) of third-level relics. Since New Year’s Day 2010, it has been open to the public for free. The museum includes a lobby, 8 themed exhibition halls, and 4 exhibition rooms dedicated to famous individuals. It mainly displays the cultural history, folk customs, art, and landscapes of Dapu, showcasing the profound cultural heritage and humanistic accumulation of Dapu through images, text, objects, and simulated scenes. It serves as the exhibition center for both tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Dapu County. Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed all day on Mondays.
