2022’s box office dark horse, the most popular theatrical screening post-pandemic. Emmy-winning actress, Judy Comer, makes her West End debut with a focus on the hot-button issues of gender and power. Judy Comer, known for her role in the hit series ‘Killing Eve’, brings her new play ‘Prima Facie’ to the West End for her debut and has successfully sparked a storm of public opinion and box office sales in 2022, making its NTLive version the most sold-out theatrical screening since the outbreak of the pandemic!

This work, penned by female playwright Suzie Miller, focuses on the much-discussed women’s issues of the day. The story revolves around Tessa, a female lawyer from a poor background, who has fought her way to the top of her profession, but a sexual assault forces her to confront the discrepancies between legal provisions, the burden of proof, and morality in the current British judicial system, which will have a strong impact on her life.

Directed by Justin Martin, this one-woman show demands a high emotional output in 100 minutes, testing the acting skills to the limit, and Judy Comer’s performance has been highly praised by the media, with the play’s value and significance being exceptionally highlighted. Continuing the West End’s sold-out craze and the Olivier Awards for Best New Play and Best Actress, the play made its way to Broadway in New York in 2023, with Judy Comer once again winning the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play.

The entire show is open from November 9th to December 15th, with performance times and durations subject to the venue.
