Located at No. 4, Lane 1315, Yuyuan Road, this is a three-story Western-style lane house with a brick, wood, and cement structure, facing east towards the west. There is a small flower bed in front of the house, which was built around 1930.
This was the former residence of Rewi Alley during his stay in Shanghai from 1932 to 1937. The current state of the former residence is in good condition. An additional floor was added in the 1970s, making it a four-story building, which is now used as a residential building for ordinary citizens.
