GALNERYUS, a representative band of Japanese neoclassical and power metal, draws its name from the famous violin ‘Guarnerius’. Formed in Osaka in 2001 around guitarist Syu and former vocalist YAMA-B, the band made their official debut in 2003 under VAP. Since their first demo release in 2001, GALNERYUS has experienced several lineup changes. In 2009, the legendary vocalist SHO (Manabu Ono) and bassist TAKA joined, solidifying the current golden lineup and propelling the band to new heights.

GALNERYUS is renowned for their masterful instrumental techniques, with Syu’s signature guitar solos and Sho’s soaring, passionate vocals, embodying the golden age of Japanese metal. With their loyal and transcendent steel metal spirit, the band has consistently produced 15 high-quality albums over 20 years, becoming an enduring legend in Japanese and Asian metal music. In 2016, the band’s overseas tour included Shanghai, China, where the enthusiastic atmosphere of their performance is still remembered fondly by fans.

Eight years later, in December of this year, the band will return to China with their new album and a 20-year catalog of classics, bringing four exciting performances to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen for metal fans across the country.
