Tangdao Bay is surrounded by two capes. At the bay entrance is the famous Tangdao Island. Tangdao Island is very small, only 0.07 square kilometers. However, it is very famous. Legend has it that during the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Taizong of Tang personally led the navy on an eastern expedition and once stationed on this island, so it is called Tangdao Island. Many years ago, many ancient weapons such as knives, swords, and arrowheads were unearthed on the island. But existing historical materials cannot prove that Emperor Taizong of Tang did station the navy here. And in the Southern Song Dynasty, a famous sea battle in Chinese history did occur here.
