The Sanxian Mountain Scenic Area is located on the shore of the Yellow Sea in the north of Penglai City. Adjacent to the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea Scenic Area, it is a theme scenic area with Taoist culture as the core. In the scenic area, there are majestic pavilions and towers and resplendent upturned eaves. It reproduces the artistic conception of ‘Sanxian Mountain’ in mythology. You can also appreciate the wood carvings, jade carvings and other art treasures collected in the park.
Among them, a Burmese ice-type Shakyamuni reclining Buddha statue made of white jade in the world is particularly rare. Sanxian Mountain refers to the three fairy mountains of ‘Penglai, Abbot, and Yingzhou’ in ancient myths and legends. The various magnificent and glorious ‘fairy palaces and pavilions’ in the scenic area are also built according to the legendary fairyland. It is a very suitable place for taking pictures. Tour Guide There are tour guides in the scenic area who will give free explanations, and you can learn a lot of allusions. The whole tour takes about more than two hours. Inside is enshrined the ‘treasure of the park’: a Burmese ice-type Shakyamuni reclining Buddha statue in the world. This Buddha statue weighing 108 tons is exquisitely carved from a single piece of jade.
