The 2024-2025 China Badminton Club Super League will hold its second round of matches from the 8th to the 10th at the Anhui Wuhu Aviation City Sports Center from December 20th to December 22nd. According to the schedule, each regular season match day is divided into two time slots, with the first slot at 13:30 and the second at 18:30. This season’s league includes eight clubs: Xiamen Sports Industry Group Badminton Club, Ruichang International Badminton Academy Club, Shenzhen Yuzhong Badminton Club, Zhejiang Jingti Badminton Club, Anhui Xinghang Badminton Club, Qingdao Renzhou Badminton Club, Hunan LiXiang HuLai Badminton Club, and Jiangsu Tianmu Lake Badminton Club. All athletes in the league are categorized into three levels: A, B, and C. A-level athletes are those who have won individual Olympic or World Championship titles within the past two years. B-level athletes have achieved top three placements in individual events at the Olympics, World Championships, or BWF World Tour Finals, as well as championship members of the Sudirman Cup or Thomas and Uber Cup. The remaining athletes are classified as C-level. For the new season, there are two A-level athletes: Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong, the mixed doubles champions of the Paris Olympics. The B-level includes 19 athletes such as Chen Yufei, Huang Dongping, He Bingjiao, Liang Weikun, Wang Chang, Liu Shengshu, Tan Ning, Shi Yuqi, Li Shifeng, Liu Yuchen, Ou Xuanyi, Wang Zhiyi, Han Yue, Lu Guangzu, He Jiting, Ren Xiangyu, Feng Yanzhe, Jiang Zhenbang, and Wei Yaxin. In the new season of the league, the local Anhui Xinghang Badminton Club will participate, with male athletes including Dong Tianyao, Huang Xilong, Liu Yang, Liu Yi, Song Yi, Tan Qiang, Yu Jiahao, and Zhang Xiusong; and female athletes including Dai Wang, Kang JiaGe, Peng Zixin, Wang Xinyao, Yu Xiaoxi, Zhang Jiahuan, Zhang Xingzhuo, and Zhang Yiman. Among the eight clubs, Zhejiang Jingti boasts a strong lineup with two Paris Olympic champions Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong, as well as Tokyo Olympic women’s singles champion Chen Yufei and Paris Olympic men’s doubles runner-up Wang Chang. The traditional powerhouse Qingdao Renzhou has several strong doubles players, including Liu Yuchen, Liang Weikun, Feng Yanzhe, Guo Xinwa, Li YiJing, and Luo Xumin, with Han Yue in singles. Xiamen Sports Group, a multiple-time winner of the league, is led by Tokyo Olympic mixed doubles champion Huang Dongping, along with He Jiting, Jiang Zhenbang, and Wei Yaxin as doubles players. Ruichang Badminton Academy boasts famous players such as Liu Shengshu, Tan Ning, Wang Zhiyi, Li Shifeng, Ou Xuanyi, and Ren Xiangyu. Jiangsu’s famous players He Bingjiao, Shi Yuqi, and Lu Guangzu are playing for Jiangsu Tianmu Lake Club this season.
Athletes will be showcasing their skills at Wuhu Aviation New City Sports Center, competing in the second round of the first stage of the regular season.
