Located in Jinyun County, Lishui City, Wenhan Ancestral Hall was originally built in the 18th year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty, which is 1813 AD. It serves as a combined memorial hall for the 30th and 31st generations of the Zhu family, Zhu Wenzhou and his son Zhu Hanchen. Despite numerous repairs over more than two centuries, the hall has largely retained its historical appearance. The simple atmosphere, exquisite carvings, and well-placed potted plants subtly showcase the elegance of a scholarly family from ancient times.
Visitors can explore the exhibition rooms where a series of real-life photographs guide them through various aspects of life and culture in Heyang. The hall is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00, with specific operating conditions subject to the day’s opening status.
