Wenzhou Prefecture City, situated to the north of the Ou River, flanked by mountains to the east and west, and facing Huichang Lake to the south, spans a circumference of 18 kilometers with a height of 3.5 zhang (approximately 11.5 meters). It was first constructed in the first year of the Tai Ning era of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (323 AD) and is also known by the names Jiudou Mountain City, White Deer City, and Luo City. The walls are made of bricks and stones, with city gates on all four sides and surrounded by a moat. It is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
