The Prince’s Scenic Spot is located in the Shimen Cave scenic area and is the second scenic area of Shimen Cave. It belongs to low mountains with an average altitude of 700 meters. The lithology is rhyolitic volcanic tuff. It extends to Lishanwei in the east, to the back mountain of Dongbei Village in the south, to the highway from Shimen Cave to Shigu Lake in the west, and to Jihou Village in the north. It covers an area of about 1 square kilometer and runs from north to south. The depth of the tourist area is 2000 meters. The main peak, Daoist Crown, has an altitude of 809.2 meters. The cutting depth of the valley is about 500 meters. The mountain slope is between 50 and 90 degrees. The main landscapes include 26 places such as Prince’s Peak, Daoist Crown, Transparent Sky Cave, Holy Water Cave, and Lishanwei Waterfall. Daoist Crown is located on the south side of Prince’s Peak. At the top of the mountain peak, there is a towering huge rock with an altitude of more than 800 meters. From a distance, it looks like a Daoist crown. Prince’s Peak is located to the north of Daoist Crown. At the top of a mountain, the top area is 2000 square meters. It is as flat as a knife cut. There are cliffs on all sides. From a distance, it looks like a bear. According to legend, Liu Ji, the national teacher of the Ming Dynasty, once lived in seclusion here. The crown prince of the Zhu family came to the mountain to look for his teacher Liu Ji. Later generations then called this mountain Prince Mountain, and the mountain top is Prince’s Peak. Transparent Sky Cave is located on the cliff on the east side of Daoist Crown. The cave is formed by longitudinal cracks in the rock strata and fault subsidence. The main cave is more than 20 meters long. It is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, ranging from 3 to 47 meters. At the bottom, it is between 0.3 and 1.5 meters. The wonder of the cave lies in that the three horizontal and vertical caves are connected in a series. There are caves within caves, caves outside caves, caves nested within caves. All the caves are connected and transparent to the sky (each cave can faintly see a line of blue sky). Therefore, it is called ‘transparent sky’ and is one of the six unique landscapes in the scenic area. Lishanwei Waterfall is located near the Lishanwei forest area. The waterfall is about 10 meters wide and about 30 meters high. There are farmhouses and ancient trees nearby, giving it a rural atmosphere. Holy Water Cave is located at the foot of the northern slope of Daoist Crown. It is formed by the collapse of the cliff due to long-term water erosion. There is a pool inside the cave, about 4 square meters. The trickling clear dew on the inner wall and top of the Holy Water Cave flows into the pool and is called holy water. It never dries up all year round. The two boys of the South China Sea are located on the north side of Prince’s Peak. They are about 100 meters high and about 3 meters in diameter. When clouds and mist rise, they look exactly like two boys of Guanyin holding hands on the bank of the Poyang Lake.

The Prince’s Scenic Spot has undulating mountains, winding and continuous. The forest is lush. The forest coverage rate is over 90%. The average altitude is relatively high. The air is fresh, the sunlight is sufficient. The water sources are mostly dripping water from rock walls and cracks. It is clean and sweet. It is a good place for mountaineering and fitness, exploring and seeking novelty. Especially viewing the fog scenery in the mountains is a rare ‘fairy’ scenery. To the northeast of the Prince’s Scenic Spot is the first scenic area of Shimen Cave – Shimen Waterfall.
