The Qingyuan County Mushroom Museum, established in 1997, is the only mushroom-themed museum in the country. With a building area of 1500 square meters, the museum boasts a rich collection and innovative display methods. It integrates collection, exhibition, promotion, science popularization, education, and research. The museum is divided into five units: ‘The Origin of Mushrooms’, ‘The Path of Mushrooms’, ‘The Charm of Mushrooms’, ‘Questions about Mushrooms’, and ‘The Song of Mushrooms’, along with a temporary exhibition hall. Utilizing valuable historical relics, reproductions of mushroom mountain production scenes, and high-tech means such as multimedia interaction and holographic imaging, the museum presents the long-standing history of mushroom culture and the splendid achievements of the mushroom industry from various perspectives. It has become a unique gem among domestic mycological museums.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 09:00-11:30 and 14:00-17:00; closed on Mondays and Sundays; and open on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day from 09:00-11:30 and 14:00-17:00.
