Gufu Rock, commonly known as the Mother-in-Law and Daughter-in-Law Rock, is located on the Zimu Mountain at the entrance of Xiandu’s main scenic area, south of the water in Nanmu. A few minutes by car from the Jinyun County town heading east, turning at the five-mile sign not far away, one can see two huge boulders standing at the top of the hill, with exceptionally clear outlines. One rock resembles an old woman sitting with a slightly hunched back, seemingly in deep contemplation; the other resembles a young woman standing upright but without a head. This is the renowned scenic spot of Xiandu, Gufu Rock. It is open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00.
