Guai Tan Scenic Area is renowned for its rafting, ancient fishing platforms, San Dai stones, peculiar pools, and a water park, surrounded by lush mountains and clear waters, creating a tranquil and picturesque environment. The rafting course spans approximately 4.5 li, featuring two surfing slides and five rapids, with water encircling the mountains and mountains piercing through the water. At times, the water is as calm as a mirror, allowing one to pause and drift with the waves, nurturing the spirit; at other times, the waves are tumultuous, requiring one to paddle vigorously and navigate through the waves, exercising the body. This place offers both the leisure of tranquility and the thrill of action, providing joy and achieving a balance of motion and stillness. From a distance, one can see a green river winding around the mountains, while up close, the diverse ancient poplar forests along the riverbank resemble a giant dragon lying dormant by the water, verdant and dripping. Along the way, one passes by Jiang Ziya’s fishing platform and the ‘San Dai stones’ that define the county’s name, all forming a vast landscape painting of ‘one river running through mountains, with beautiful scenery on both banks’. Humans originate from forests, and life begins in the ocean. The affinity for water is deeply rooted, and seeking the joy of water is an instinct. At the water park, various recreational facilities are present, allowing one to enjoy the surrounding beauty and scenery; looking up, one sees the towering and steep peaks; looking down, one can see fish and shrimp swimming and aquatic plants drifting in the water; looking sideways, one can see the rugged and strange stones on the riverbank resembling dragons, tigers, turtles, and snakes…, arousing people’s boundless imagination. The experience is thrilling and exhilarating. When the mood is high, one can steer a ‘battleship’ towards the opponent, initiating a water battle, using paddles as guns and water as bullets, shooting rows and strings towards the opponent until everyone becomes a ‘drenched chicken’, then laughing wildly and falling backwards! Back on the shore, one still does not want to leave, and even when driving away, one keeps looking back. There is a strong desire to return and board the boat again to enjoy the beauty of water once more.
