Yu Zhou City is located 10 kilometers southwest of Shucheng County and was a military camp built by Zhou Yu before he turned 24 in his hometown for military training and troop deployment. It has a history of nearly 1800 years.
Yu Zhou City is an almost square-shaped earth platform, attracting many tourists who are fans of the Three Kingdoms period or history enthusiasts.

The shallow beach and rice fields around Yu Zhou City were originally the moat of the city. Now, it is difficult to find traces of the moat, and the city is surrounded by dilapidated earthen walls with four symmetrical city gate openings still faintly discernible.

At the north entrance, there is a stele of ‘The Ruins of Yu Zhou City’ erected in 2013. Among the grass in the city, there stands a statue of Zhou Yu. The city is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
