Hai’an is the place where the Yangtze River culture and Huaihe River culture blend. The discovery of the Qingdun site in Hai’an has caused a sensation in the archaeological field and pushed the history of Hai’an back 3,000 years. Thus, Qingdun culture is recognized as an important part of Chinese culture – the origin of Jianghuai culture. The long history and ancient civilization make Hai’an on the Jianghuai land more charming, and the Jianghuai Cultural Park scenic area emerges as the times require in Hai’an.


Jianghuai Cultural Park has a Chinese classical garden landscape and is surrounded by a 30,000-square-meter lake. It is a human landscape with Jianghuai historical culture as its foundation. The entire park is composed of four major scenic areas, namely the hometown of White Dragon scenic area, the sages scenic area, the Fengshan Academy scenic area, and the scenic area of the group of Chinese celebrity art museums.


The hometown of White Dragon scenic area includes tens of thousands of square meters of White Dragon Lake, dozens of pavilions, terraces, towers, pavilions, pavilions, corridors, and bridges, as well as hundreds of rare flowers and plants, ancient trees, and strange stones. In particular, the national rare and protected tree species – Taxus chinensis has been successfully transplanted and grown into forests in the scenic area.


The sages scenic area restores the ancient buildings in Hai’an. It is built for three historical sages who have a connection with Hai’an: Wen Tianxiang, Fan Zhongyan, and Hu Yuan (Anding). It is a place to commemorate the sages, inspire and educate future generations, and carry forward and inherit traditional Chinese culture. The Fengshan Academy scenic area is also the restoration of Hai’an’s ancient landscape and an important place for sages, great scholars, and scholars of all ages to promote education and advocate civilization.


The scenic area of the group of Chinese celebrity art museums is composed of several ancient-style buildings and eleven European-style buildings. As a base for influential well-known artists at home and abroad to conduct training, create, and hold exhibitions, more than a dozen great artists and famous artists have entered the Jianghuai Cultural Park scenic area and successively set up exhibitions and opened museums.


At present, there are Hou Kangyi Appreciation Stone Art Museum, Liu Wannian Art Museum, Wu Xiangming National Ceremony Art Museum, Hu Jianxiong Calligraphy Art Museum, Wang Jianzi Art Museum, and Luo Yang Calligraphy Art Museum. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00. Preferential policies: Children: Children under 1.2 meters (excluding) are free; children from 1.2 meters (including) to 1.


5 meters (excluding) are half price. Citizens of Hai’an County: With resident identity cards, it is free. Military personnel: Active People’s Liberation Army, armed police officers and soldiers, and disabled soldiers, with valid certificates, are free. Elderly: Elderly people aged 70 years old (including) and above with their own ID cards are free; elderly people aged 60 years old (including) to 70 years old (excluding) with their own ID cards are half price.
