Zining Mountain is located 20 kilometers southwest of the county seat. Zining Mountain stretches for dozens of miles. It is named after the founder of the Tiantai Sect of Chinese Buddhism, Master Zhizhe, who recited scriptures here and sensed the strangeness of purple clouds. Zining Mountain has overlapping peaks, beautiful rocks, secluded valleys and strange caves, surrounded by clouds and mist. There is a waterfall spring in the mountain, which flows down a thousand feet. It pours down in three folds from the cliff, shining like a white silk ribbon, presenting a magnificent sight. This waterfall, together with Fusheng Waterfall in Tongbai Mountain and Xuedie Waterfall on Shiliang, are collectively known as the ‘three unique waterfalls’ of Tiantai Mountain. The water of Zining Waterfall never dries up in winter and summer, and the water quality is clear. In the Tang Dynasty, ‘Tea Sage’ Lu Yu came here to taste tea and rated the mountain waterfall as the ‘seventeenth water in the world’ suitable for making tea. Therefore, the mountain is named ‘Waterfall Water’. Zining Mountain has high peaks and deep valleys, and the road winds. There are many landscapes in the mountain, such as colorful beads, the shadow of double boats, Biqiong Pool, Dragon Ball Tongue, Zhonggu Rock, carp facing the sky, goddess washing hair, Kaiyan ancient ao, etc. It can be said that there are many strange sights. Nearby, there are historical sites such as Lu Yu Hall, Fahua Sutra Lecture Hall, Prince Zhaoming Temple, and ancient kiln site of the Northern Song Dynasty. The specific business status of opening hours is subject to the opening situation on that day.
