Located in the Lingyan Scenic Area, Zhanqi Peak stands to the left front of Lingyan Temple, facing Tianzhu Peak. It is approximately 260 meters high and resembles a grand flag flying, exuding a majestic aura. According to legend, this peak was formed from the great transformation of Huangdi’s banner after he conquered Chiyou in ancient times. As recorded in a poem by Qing Dynasty poet Yuan Mei, ‘Huangdi captured Chiyou, the banners were not collected again. They turned into stone peaks, with each piece born in the clear autumn.’ It is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
