Located in the Da Longqiu scenic area, Ma’an Ridge, also known as Shicheng Ridge, features a ridgeback shaped like an inverted “U” resembling a horse saddle. It serves as the boundary between the East and West Inner Valleys and is the passage from Lingyan scenic area to Da Longqiu. Climbing up Ma’an Ridge offers a panoramic view of the red peaks and lush greenery, a truly spectacular sight. In 1990, a tunnel over 300 meters long was excavated at the foot of the ridge, connecting the road from Lingyan to Da Longqiu, which has made travel more convenient for visitors but also often deprived them of the opportunity to climb the ridge and appreciate the view. The scenic area is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
