Niutuitang Beach is located at Niutoumen, Yanchi Township, Pubagang Town, Sanmen County. Surrounded by mountains on one side and facing the sea on three sides, it is a beach that has been hidden for nearly half a century. Therefore, the journey to the beach is rather difficult. Only after experiencing the bumps of numerous mountain roads can one see the boundless sea. Niutuitang Beach is in the shape of a crescent moon, 300 meters long and more than 100 meters wide. The bay is flat and the beach is wide. The sand is coarse and clean, composed of ochre gravel and sand grains and white shell fragments. The more peculiar one is the ‘sand knot’ landscape. The ‘concrete’ condensed by gravel and sand grains and white shells makes people reluctant to step on it under the erosion of the endless tides year after year. Open all year round and open all day.
