Longwang Palace is located on the west side of the Danxia Mountain at the Penglai Pavilion scenic area, northwest of the Danxia Fairyland Square. It is laid out from south to north, including the main gate, front hall, two side rooms, main hall, and rear hall, forming a three-courtyard layout characteristic of temple architecture.
Inside the front hall, there are two statues of sea protectors, with the Eastern Sea God on the east and the Western Sea God on the west, each holding magical weapons and exuding a majestic presence. The main hall measures 12.69 meters in length from east to west and 10.08 meters in depth from north to south, featuring a front porch with two clear columns inscribed with a couplet: ‘Dragons bestow the expected gentle breezes and sweet rains on Danxia, Kings respond to Dongpo’s prayers with green hills and multi-storied buildings.’ The hall’s plaque reads: ‘Blessing Rain for All Living Beings.’ On the west side of the bright corridor, there is an ‘Introduction to Longwang Palace.’ In the hall, there is a high platform for the divine constitution, with a golden statue of the Eastern Sea Dragon King Ao Guang seated inside, flanked by eight standing officials. From south to north, on the east side are the Sea Patrol Night叉, Thousand-Mile Eye, Thunder Mother, and Thunder God, while on the west side are the Fish Herding Man, Wind-Following Ear, Wind Lady, and Rain God. The rear hall serves as the Dragon King’s bedroom, also with a bright corridor. Inside, there is also a high platform for the divine niche, with a golden statue of the Dragon King and his consorts seated inside; on both sides of the hall, there are four maid statues on each side. There used to be wooden statues of the Dragon King and the palanquins and ceremonial equipment used for his processions, but they no longer exist today.
