Jing Yue Gate, originally constructed during the Tang Dynasty, is situated to the south and slightly east of Taizhou Prefecture. It is positioned north to the Jinshan Mountain, south to the Lingjiang River, and west to the Xingshan Gate. In ancient times, Jiangxia Street connected Jing Yue Gate with Xingshan Gate, with Zhongjin Ancient Ferry and floating bridge built to the west. Above the city gate in the ancient times, there stood the Jing Yue Tower. The gate and tower were repeatedly layered, emphasizing the construction of city walls to resist enemies and protect the nation.
