The Donghai Shell Carving Art Museum is located in Dongtou, Zhejiang, and is a comprehensive humanities science museum that integrates collection, exhibition, display, and research, focusing on mother-of-pearl lacquerware. The main content of the collection consists predominantly of mother-of-pearl cultural relics from the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing dynasties, and modern China. It also includes mother-of-pearl artifacts from the modern and various periods of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea and North Korea, as well as from different eras in Japan and Ryukyu. The museum is open from 8:30 to 17:00, and it is closed on Sundays in the afternoon.
