Mingxin Temple, located in Songqiao, Wanquan Town, Pingyang County, was originally established during the Yuanhe period of the Tang Dynasty. It was formerly known as Rui Ping Yuan. At that time, the temple was quite large in scale, featuring a number of significant structures such as the Mahavira Hall, the Medicine Buddha Hall, and the Xuanzang Hall.
