Gongrui Temple is situated between Gongrui Mountain Road and Tanghe South Road in Rui’an, surrounded by water on three sides. It was constructed by Qi Ke, a Jinshi of the Ming Dynasty and the county magistrate of Rui’an, to gather the spiritual essence of Longshan and Wansong Mountain.
Gongrui Temple, now reconstructed, symbolizes the prosperity and development of the nation. The temple is under the management of Zhang Qiandi, a lay Buddhist who is enthusiastic about charitable causes. This temple serves as the central venue for lay Buddhists in Rui’an to study and practice Buddhist teachings.
