Da Ri Temple is located at the southeastern foot of Qian Cang Mountain, near Dai Tou. The mountain where it resides is also known as Da Ri Mountain.
The temple was constructed during the second year of the Jingyun era in the Tang Dynasty and was further developed during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty.
Da Ri Temple is renowned for the nun Xuan Ji, who was a disciple of Master Yong Jia Xuan Jue. Her story of ‘not a thread attached’ is recorded in ‘Wu Deng Hui Yuan’, making her well-known in the Buddhist community.
It is not only a significant Buddhist sacred site but also a place for people seeking tranquility and spiritual practice.
