Dongsha Fishing Port is a natural harbor, under the jurisdiction of Dongsha, Shuanglong, and Dawangdian Villages in Bei’ao Street. The port is shaped like a ‘C’, with a main breakwater constructed at the harbor’s outlet, measuring 350 meters in length, capable of accommodating 600 vessels simultaneously for shelter. The Dongsha Fishing Port is divided into several areas, including a vessel shelter zone, cargo loading and unloading zone, living and cultural zone, market trading zone, logistic supply zone, and a sightseeing area. With convenient water and land transportation, it is the second-largest port in Dongtou County. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the harbor is embraced by lush greenery, becoming increasingly intimate and profound in greenery as one approaches the port. It seems as if a master painter has inadvertently added more shades of green between the sea and sky! Overlooking the harbor from the top of Shuanglong Ridge, one can see the rippling waters that are both caught and not caught, with the rising tide gently caressing the shoreline. The fishing boats moored in the harbor rhythmically sway with the waves. Walking down the pine-lined alleys, the melodious bird songs, rustling pines, and crashing waves create a very pleasant natural symphony, akin to ‘the sounds of nature, clear and refreshing to the ear’! The port is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
