The Sun Yat-sen University Observatory Site is located on Wenming Road in Yuexiu District. The observatory was completed in June 1929 and features a reinforced concrete structure. It consists of a rectangular two-story building facing north to south, with dozens of steps at the front and a connected hexagonal tower-shaped three-story building on the east side. The underground part comprises one basement level and is one of the earliest university observatories in China. The site is open all year round, with the exterior accessible 24/7, while the interior office space is not open to the public.
