The former residence of Liang Qichao is located in Chakeng Village under Fengshan Xiongzita. Around the former residence are fertile fields. Big banyan trees, slate alleys, and blue brick houses are distributed in an orderly manner. The villagers are simple and sincere. The former residence was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It is an antique blue brick and earthen tile bungalow.
It is the place where Liang Qichao was born and lived and studied during his youth. The Liang Qichao Memorial Hall is located on the south side of the former residence. It was designed by architectural master Mo Bozhi. It has a rich and detailed collection of historical materials, showing Liang Qichao’s patriotic and striving deeds throughout his life. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 17:00; closed all day on Monday throughout the year. Closed on Mondays. In case of national statutory holidays, the closing day will be postponed, except for special circumstances. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day. Must-see tips: 1. Before entering the museum for a visit, a real-name reservation needs to be made through the online platform. Enter the museum with the verification code on site. 2.
