Liuhua Lake Park is renowned for its three major lakes and four minor ones, showcasing the characteristics of subtropical scenery. The park is named after the Liuhua Bridge, an ancient relic from the Southern Han Dynasty located to the northeast of the lake.
In the northern area of the park, there are elongated grasslands stretching out on both sides, featuring places such as the Banyan Tree Playground, Baoxiang Amusement Park, and Badminton Courts, as well as an island inhabited by tens of thousands of herons.
The eastern part of the park houses a Xishuangbanna-style garden and waterfall, along with a laundry woman statue, azalea garden, and the Nanhai Fisherman’s Village restaurant.
The central area, shaded by banyan trees, features the Xinguang Garden Restaurant and a fitness park.
Adjacent to the Guangzhou Children’s Palace in the southern area, there is a vast area of fallen pine forest, offering a tranquil and serene view.
The western end of the park is home to the bonsai garden, while the eastern end houses the Liuhua Bird Garden.
The aquatic plants such as lotus and water lilies grown within the park’s waters are highly ornamental.
The park is open all year round from 6:00 to 22:00.
